About College
Establishment of the college in 1998 has ushered a new era in the history of Poladpur tehsil a remote and hilly area of Raigad district where students are deprived of higher education as no institution imparting higher education was available in the area even after the fifty years of India’s independence particular, for Girl students, higher education was a distant dream. In most of the households of the tehsil, we find first learning generation. After the commencement of Sundarrao More College, this first learning generation began to come into the main stream of the higher education. The most of the villages get an opportunity to feel proud for their first ever graduate women due to availability of the college.

Main Objective
To undertake planned efforts in the social and educational fields to ensure all round personality development of the economically and socially backward & deprived students of Mahad & Poladpur tehsil and thereby to contribute in the progress of the hilly, remote and undeveloped part of Raigad district.
NAAC Accreditation
The management focused on the quality of education, right from the establishment of the college. That’s why it has decided to submit the SSR and to undergo accreditation process by NAAC inspite of just being 6 years of age. NAAC itself has greatly appreciated the efforts undertaken by the college and accredited it with C+ Grade.
Natural Calamity
While functioning relentlessly, the college has to face a natural calamity on 25th July 2005. On this unfortunate day, the college building with all its furniture, library books, and Office record was totally washed out in the flood water caused by the heavy rain fall in the area. To avoid any educational loss to the student community the management has worked on war footing and is able to rehabilitate and reconstruct the new college building within very short time.
